A new survey by Hotel Internet Services (HIS) explores the impact of growing technology trends and evolving guest preferences on the hospitality industry.

A study was conducted on more than 500 guests and 200 hoteliers in an effort to determine the impact that new technologies, such as voice control and online content streaming, are having on the hospitality market and hotel revenues.

The study found that guests typically opt to travel with a smart device, with 96 percent of the respondents indicating they travel with at least one device. When asked what features should be present in a guestroom entertainment system, more than 80 percent of guests indicated a desire to be able to cast content from their personal device onto the guestroom television.
